Save the Vulnerable Children
Save the vulnerable Children is a not for profit community based education project based in Kisoro (South-West Uganda). SVC is helping vulnerable Batwa children to get education as a minimum requirement for human beings. Batwa are law abiding citizens of Uganda but as a minority group they face discrimination and extreme poverty. Our future goal is to provide education to all Batwa children, access to medical facilities, purchase fields to give to the Batwa so they can grow their own crops and provide sufficient meals for their community as well as having enough to sell.
Accomodation
We provide accommodation in village homes, where you will be able to have fresh organic foods, do camping, barbecues, meals, and participate in making all these if you wish too. We arrange village walks where you will be able to see cultural coffee roasting and test a cup you have roasted yourself and also harvest honey from bee heavies. Hand Crafts making is part of our social market concept and we encourage our visitors to participate and also buy such items to enable community development. For those who want to mix and learn the African cultures more, we arrange volunteer projects in the communities where you can give your priceless time for free to develop communities in areas of education i.e teaching at a local School that provides free education to Children, do conservation; proper soil use and tree planting. Can help teach Children in swimming at our Eco-Centre and any other activity that you may deem right for the community. We arrange gorilla tracking on request. Bird and snakes viewing. With this kind of tourism you are sure that your money goes straight to community development because you pay the locals direct. Save up to 40% from would be normal tourism cost.
