THANK YOU VERY MUCH
This is an amazing experience. I went to Peters Coffee farm with my family to show them what Uganda offers. They where very happy about the explanations and the practicals as well as the coffee tasting. I wish others would do as good in vanilla, tea, cotton etc. The money paid for the tour is used to support local coffee farmers! I will certainly recommend this place.

TRIP LIKE NO OTHER
As an independent and solo traveler in Uganda I had a real pleasure to get to know Julius and stay in his home for a couple of days. Julius took a complete responsibility of organising my gorilla trek and I was not disappointed. Travelling with Mountain Gorilla Coffee was stress free and very relaxing. He helped my out to book my accommodation and plan my further trip when I left his place and when he did not need to do so.Thank you so MUCH. I had a chance of talking to some local people and I turned out that that Julius is not only a good tour operator but more importantly a very well known and very respected person in his local community. Highly recommended.

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN UGANDA
We are 2 italian ladies and we had a beautiful 10 days tour in a gorgeous country called Uganda. Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours arranged with us and for us the tour and everything went very well: a professional driver, good accomodations, successfull safaris, excellent gorilla trekking. Now I miss Uganda! Great country and population. I really recomend Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours for any travel in Uganda.

MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK AND MORE!
I have made well over 100 trips to Africa and this was the best one of my life. Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours under the outstanding management of Julius Wetala is the only company in Africa I have ever been willing to write a review for. He and his team provided for every detail and created a fantastic trip that included Mountain gorillas, Chimpanzees, rare birds and plants, great food, places to stay and the trip of a lifetime! I strongly suggest anyone going not only to Uganda, but East Africa contact Julius and his company for your trip needs. They can do it all, and do it right. I know we will be back with them next year, and I will encourage friends to make this trip. Good luck Travelers and Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours, you are the best!

A MUST-DO TOUR
What an interesting and interactive tour, we visited a coffee farming family near Kisoro to learn how they produce organic coffee. It was such an interesting tour, learning how they organically grow coffee and other plants and then how each batch of coffee beans is dried, washed and roasted. We both had a go at various stages of the process and got to taste the coffee and learn how to make our morning espresso the right way! We took home our own batch of coffee, which still smells incredible. I cannot recommend this tour enough, interesting and a fun way to spend the morning.

GREAT EXPERIENCE
We done the coffee tour at Kisoro village and have experienced the art of coffee. Great to see how it is made and unbelievable that we buy this at too low prices in the west. A must do.

SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We just finished an 8 day tour with Mountain Gorilla Coffee Torus and I can't recommend them highly enoug. We had an exceptional tour with our guide Vincent, doing the chimps in Kibale, Queen Elizabeth N.P., gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Lake Mburo N.P. The experience was phenomenal overall and the animal viewing was spectacular. We did the budget version of the tour and the accomodation and food was still wonderful, we especiallu loved the Bush Lodge (Queen Elizabeth) and Eagle's Nest (Lake Mburo), the tents were basic but the view were stunning. In Kisoro we spent a wonderful 3 days at the homestay with Julius and Abdalla and we especially loved the coffee tour with Julius, it was so interesting and Julius is obviously very passionate about coffeee. We wouldn't have changed a thing about the trip, other than making it longer! We did go in the off-peak season so we were particularly lucky in barely seeing any other tourist/Munzungos the entire time, having the camps nearly to ourselves and having a private gorilla trek when no else turned up so we had a very genuine and authentic experience - I'm sure the peak season might be a little bit different but we would highly reccomend going in May when we went - perfect weather and almost no other tourists, but of course if you go with MGCT then you can't go wrong!
Note to travellers: in Uganda they are superstrict with which exact U.S. Dollar notes they will accept - they need to be printed 2006 or after and crisp as an apple (no tears, no marks). We exchanged money in Melbourne at a standard exchange place and got about $1000 worth of notes that would have been fine to use in the U.S. but were essentially useless in Uganda as no one would accept them (we did'nt find this out until we arrived). It caused some issues so if you are in Australia I would recommend ordering cash online from Travelex, no fees if you BPay and they are all crisp new notes so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!
We strongly recomend MGCT as local agency to travel across Uganda. In 12 days we saw all the differnt landscapes of that amazing country, travelling in a comfortable 4x4 jeep with a very professional and friendly guide Vincent. We really enjoyed the time with him and his company all the trip long. All the lodges and the accomodations were comfortable and beautiful. We came home 4 days ago but we can not wait to go back! We are more than satisfied!

IN UGANDA EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
We were a group of three friends coming from Mwanza (Tanzania). We had 12 days to spend in Uganda and we entered in contact with this tour agency. It has been a fantastic experience. Vincent, the driver and the guide who stayed with us for all the trip is a wonderful person, highly prepared guide, high experienced driver and above all an easy and funny man. We talked a lot and share our life experiences. He was always available for all our queries and he never complained about our desires! Defintively I can say we a have a good friend in Kampala now. Then the tour was very well organised and we spent three nights in Kisoro in a family where Julius is living! We ate there and we learn how to cook Ugandian food. Amazing experience. Uganda is a wonderful and great country, we will miss its landscape, its animals, its jungle, its odours, colours, kitchen and people above all. And we learnt something: in Uganda everything is possible! Highly recomended!!!!

BOOK WITH THEM, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED
If you have come across my review a bit wary of booking with Mountain Coffee Gorilla Tours don't be! Mountain Coffee Gorilla Tours provided an absolutely seamless itinerary for our honeymoon to Uganda. Vincent our guide was engaging, professional, entertaining but most importantly we are proud to call him our friend. Uganda is a truly stunning country and, as far as we're concerned, highly underrated! From the people to the scenery it was truly magical.
Highlights of the trip:
Staying at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
Gorillas - We Visited the Nkuringo family, the Trek would be challenging for some but definitely worth it.
Staying at Lake Mutanda Resort
Hiking the Batwa trail
Coffee farm tour
Be warned, if you book flights with Aero Link be prepared for your flights to be changed - a lot! If we were to do it again we would've chosen to drive from Entebbe to Kisoro and fly back to Entebbe. Words of wisdom: Don't go to Uganda to only see the gorillas, stay longer and enjoy this beautiful country and trust your holiday plans with Julius & company!

TRIP OF A LIFETIME
I decided to take a chance and not go with a commercial activity in Uganda. I was pleasantly surprised with my choice with Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours. I started the process about 8 months prior to my decision and worked with Julius from inquiry to visa to pick up. I chose the 12-day tour and saw the BIG 5 and many more. My driver was Vincent. He was spectacular for 3 reasons: 1) great driver (noting accidents are the #1 issue on these tours) 2) his proficiency in English as well as 5 other native languages, and lastly his deep knowledge and lastly his professional demeanor and great attitude. You're speeding the entire time with the driver and in the vehicle a lot for a trip that spans 2/3's of Uganda. While there is no guarantee that you'll see everything I was considerably lucky. The highlight was the gorillas and my golden hour was rewarded with an entire gorilla group of 12-14 gorillas. I took over a 1,000 pictures and not to boast a majority were National Geographic quality. The parks are changing due to political and economic issues, so if you're planning to visit I would get on it now. I did take a chance with a less commercial group but I was rewarded with a fantastic experience that can not be duplicated. All the locations were good and you won't be disappointed despite the lack of wifi and in some cases a hot shower, but you're in Africa on a 2-week safari so it's to be expected. Cheers to the entire MGCT team!

UGANDA HOLIDAY... PRICELESS!
Spent 7 spectacular days in beautiful Uganda... All carefully planned by Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours (MGCT). MGCT can tailor make a memorable vacation in Uganda, to meet any budget. We were met by the very professional, yet personable Denis, who "managed our time and expectations" with ease. His depth and breadth of knowledge about Uganda and the wildlife was impressive. Aside from navigating some of the "rough" roads well, he made certain that our time was well spent; without making us feel "rushed." The accommodations at the various locations were clean and the food was good. Enjoyed the Travellers Rest Lodge, a place the famous gorilla researcher, Dian Fossey, called home. In addition to Traveller Rest Lodge, enjoyed the outdoor shower at the Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge. Really had the outdoors experience there, when a hippo approached our accommodations. The ultimate view was from Eagles' Nest, just outside Lake Mburo. At night, the stars looked like diamonds, hung against velvet. From the river boat cruise down the Kazinga Channel, to the game runs, and tracking the Silverback Mountain Gorilla... Uganda will capture your senses. You must take the Coffee Tour. Julius, "the guy in charge" provided us with a tour of an organic coffee farm, that had million dollar view. Thank you Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tour for an experience that was priceless.

A BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE - UNCONDITIONALLY RECOMMENDED!
This turned out to be a fantastic company to choose as Julius the Manager and our guide/driver Denis were both brilliant, fun and easy to deal with. We were a bit hesitant about booking a "tour" as have always been very independent travellers, but it worked out to be a great option with just us and Denis and all went smoothly and well. This was especially impressive considering we only made the booking (for the 9 day circuit) the day before starting, so Julius and Denis went in to rapid organisation mode to make it happen for us
Denis is a skilled driver and very calm when under testing conditions. He has a great sense of humour and coped with our never ending questions remarkably well! His knowledge gained over some years as a guide generally led us to the best areas to view wildlife, and his timekeeping was on the ball to ensure we maximised viewing of big game at the right times during morning/evening drives. The tour itself is also great and diverse and whilst the days are long and roads rough in parts, it covers the best of Western Uganda incorporating some unique and amazing experiences, especially trekking the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, alongside great safari experiences too. Highly recommended++ without reservation - thanks so much Julius and Denis for so much fun and helping us create amazing memories!!! Thank you also for the great BBQ and the chance to meet up with the rest of the team, there is great team spirit and commitment from all your guides.

INCREDIBLE 12-DAY TOUR WITH THIS COMPANY
My husband and I, along with two friends, just returned home from an amazing 12-day tour with this company. After doing a ton of research before we left, we settled on MGCT (mainly because they were MUCH less expensive than other companies I found and we wanted to go with someone who was local). Our experience exceeded expectations. Here's why.
1. Our guide: We were with Robert for 10/12 days and he made our trip. He was very engaging in conversation, making jokes and answering all the questions we had about nearly every aspect of Uganda (food, people, politics... you name it). His fantastic personality and knowledge of the country was terrific and his smiling face helped made even the earliest of mornings worth getting out of bed.
2. The community involvement: We were lucky enough to stay at MGCT's homestay in Kisoro. Not only was it nice to have this one-of-a-kind experience, but the food was much better than any other local restaurant we tried in Uganda. So you're getting local food with flavor! :) We were also able to join Julius for a coffee tour with a local coffee farmer. I drink it everyday, but never knew what went into to making coffee. Julius (and the company) support these local coffee farmers and give you this really interesting and engaging experience. Plus, coming home with a few bags of the stuff means waking up Monday morning and heading to work won't be as bad. We were also able to visit a local school and learn about Uganda's education system from the headmaster. Although, I did feel a little bad about disrupting classes.
3. The country: Yes, some of the roads were bumpy, somehow you're always dusty and the showers may have been cold (we did ask for budget accommodation), but it's all worth it for the beauty of Uganda. The gorgeous landscape and natural resources are beautiful and blew our minds.
I would 100% recommend this company if you are planning your trip to Uganda. As mentioned in other reviews they are very flexible, super responsive via email and willing to accommodate nearly everything. Pier and Julius worked with me prior to arriving in Uganda to help tailor a trip for us that included everything we wanted to do in our time there. Two thumbs up Julius, Pier and Robert. We had a fantastic time.
